Training
RSS Training & Consultancy is a fully qualified and acredited training centre boasting a wide range of qualifications. These include, but are not limited to, Construction Skills, CAA, ROSPA, PASMA, CPA, NPORS National Plant, City & Guilds, LEEA Lifting Equipment Engineers Association, ECITB, RIPH Royal Institute of Public Health, CIEH Chartered Institute of Enviromental Health and British Safety Council.
All candidates are taught to a high standard by highly qualified and certified instructors. Our courses cover both practical theory and assessment elements and include written test papers. Training can be carried out at RSS's purpose built training centre in Pyle, Bridgend, or we can also arrange to visit customers premises, which ever is deemed most sutaible.

Lifting Equipment Audits
A complete and confidential check of your systems for the purchasing, safe use, maintenance and thorough examination of all types of lifting equipment. On completion, we provide a full written report and recommendations to improve safety and efficiency.
Risk Assessment
Covering lifting operations, installation and maintenance of equipment and all other areas where statutory risk assessment is required e.g PPE, Manual Handling, Hazardous Substances etc
Lifting Operations Management
An essential component for any lifting operation is a detailed plan establishing a safe system of work. We can provide site specific method statements and fully qualified Appointed Persons to manage the operation if required.
Accident Investigation
Failures of certain types of lifting equipment are reportable to the HSE, however it's important that all accidents and near misses are investigated to avoid reaccurance. Our accident investigation service provides essential information on the direct and in-direct causes of accidents involving all types of mechanical handling equipment and advice on effective prevention measures.
Thorough Examination & Testing
To satisfy the requirements of The Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998, we provide thorough examination and testing of all types of lifting equipment. Our in-house testing facilities include tensile testing up to 150 tonnes.
All our consultants and engineers hold nationally recognised qualifications and are available to provide advise and support anywhere in the UK, 7 days a week.
